Program details

Live Long Lift is an exercise class targeted towards people with osteoporosis/osteopenia and those at risk of low bone density.

The class includes:

  •  Weight bearing and impact exercise (heel drops, progressions and regression for jumping)
  •  Resistance training (deadlifts and squats)
  •  Balance training to aid in falls prevention (single leg exercises and varied surface balance training)
It is run by a qualified exercise physiologist with experience running evidence based group osteoporosis programs.

There is an initial one on one assessment conducted by an exercise physiologist to assess individuals current capacity and attain their goals.

Opening hours:

Exercise Physiology appointments for one on one initial assessment are available on Monday and Wednesday from 11.45am-6pm.

Live long lift osteoporosis/osteopenia class is run on Monday and Wednesday mornings (two sessions available):
  • 8-9am
  • 10.30-11.30am

50 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

Participants with higher needs may require more one on one sessions before entering group classes. During the initial one on one assessment the participant will be informed if this is necessary.

Special requirements or conditions:

Participants should wear clothes they feel comfortable exercising in, including lying on a mat.
