Program details
Aqua aerobics is a form of aerobic exercise that takes place in water. It combines elements of aerobic exercises with the resistance and support of water. The buoyancy of water reduces the impacts on joints, making it a popular choice for people with arthritis, back problems or other joint issues.
Two types of aqua aerobics programs run at Prince Alfred Park Pool;
- Shallow aqua: A 45 minute shallow water program which uses the waters resistance to increase cardiovascular fitness as well as muscular strength and endurance
- Deep aqua: A 45 minute totally suspended workout focusing on core strength and impact free exercises designed to improve balance, agility, posture and flexibility.
Opening hours:
Our aqua program runs weekly;
- Shallow aqua - every Friday 10am - outdoor pool
- Deep aqua - every Saturday 10am - outdoor pool
Program may break between the Christmas and New Year period. See website for up-to-date timetable: https://princealfred.org/
