Program details

Active Strength Class begins with a 5 min warm up, followed by  30 minutes of strengthening exercises focused on increasing muscle mass, strength and bone density.

These exercises may include squats, lunges, knee lifts, leg extension, leg curls, side and back leg lifts. 

Balance exercises including single leg movements, tandem stance, opposite arm to leg movement patterns, foam mat or chi ball under foot etc.

This will be followed by 10-15 minutes of matwork exercises for the abs and back, then a cool down stretch. 

ALL classes are PAY as you go.

Cost per visit: $15 - pay as you go

Target age:

50 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

Dementia, cognitive impairment, post surgery and walking aids

Special requirements or conditions:

Comfortable clothing, water & towel

Minimum experience:

Beginner

Leader qualifications:

Fitness Leader - Accredited

Fitness Leader - Registered Cert IV
