Moving Well Mobility is a 1 hour movement to music class designed for all adults wishing to maintain and improve mobility, health & wellbeing.
For keeping your mind & body active across the lifespan, regardless of mobility, skill or age.
Seated, standing and moving across the floor options!
All welcome, no dance experience required, meet others, enjoy the music & community connection.
Come along and enjoy gentle EXERCISE in DISGUISE!
Tailored for ALL adults including those living with Parkinson's, Stroke that are active ,less agile.
Carers, partners and friends welcome.
The session may be followed by refreshments for 30 mins with a cuppa and chat for social connection in the club.
Opening hours:
Will operate during NSW school term dates ( no classes in school hols)
Cost:
$15 - casual class
$55 - 5 class dance card
$110 - 10 class dance card
Target age:
50 Plus
Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
- We ask that all participants check with their health/ medical professional first that gentle exercise is appropriate for them to participate in before they attend, particularly after surgery.
- We encourage carers to attend and participate with anyone who has higher needs
- Suitable for Active, less agile over 55s ( may have balance/ co-ordination issues)
- The facilitator is highly experienced in Dance for Parkinson's / Stroke and older adult mobility programs.
Special requirements or conditions:
Please wear comfortable clothes.
Soft shoes or non-slip socks.
Please bring a water bottle.
