Program details

The Bundanoon Walk ’n Talk is designed for folks of all genders and abilities who want to walk with friends, have a chat and, afterwards, enjoy some morning tea at a local cafe.

The walk lasts for one hour plus morning tea at a local cafe if you wish to join us.

I've designed 17 walks, eight to the north of Bundanoon, four to the east, one to the west, one in the Morton National Park as well as two walks in Exeter and one in Penrose.

We start the walks in Exeter, Penrose at 9:15 AM and the Morton National Park at 9:10 AM. Folks who want to car share can meet at the Bundanoon Soldiers’ Memorial Hall @ 9:00 AM on those days.

Our walks are mostly on footpaths or sealed roads. We will generally avoid dirt tracks and unformed paths as well as excessively steep hills, such as Constitution Hill.

Each participant walks at their own pace, usually in a small subgroup. After 30 minutes we simply turn back and retrace our steps, hopefully ending up together at our starting point. In this way, walkers will be self-regulating in terms of distance, difficulty and intensity and the walk will always be one hour.

I'll post the route in the Event Posting on our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bundanoonwalkntalk. If I can't attend, I will arrange for a replacement to lead the walk.

Dogs are allowed, if agreed to by the group, as has always been the case so far. Of course, dogs are not allowed on our walk in the Morton NP.

Risk: All walkers will understand that they are walking with the group at their own risk. It is their responsibility to look after their own health and safety while walking with the group.

Cost: Free, except if you want to have morning tea upon our return.
