Qigong (pronounced "chi-gong") works with the intelligence of the life force energy by combining gentle movement exercises, meditation and controlled breathing; providing increased levels of vitality, mental, physical and spiritual health.Anyone - regardless of ability, age or beliefs can participate.
You can choose to sit, stand or lie down during this practice (please bring a mat for the latter) and find out how Qigong can lead you towards a healthier and happier life.
Qigong is tailored for everyone including older adults. The movements are slow, gentle and it is recommended for everyone to practice at their own pace. The session goes for 1 hour, this includes 30 minutes gentle movement exercise followed by 30 minute meditation.
Please do not eat 30 minutes prior or after the session, drinking water is ok.
Opening hours:
- Tuesday 8 October to Tuesday 10 December, 6pm to 7pm
- Friday 11 October to Friday 13 December, 930am to 1030am
Cost:
10 week program, $199 full cost or $179 for concession
Target age:
50 Plus
Special requirements or conditions:
Comfortable clothes and shoes, please have a water bottle.
Yoga mat for those who wish to participate in the entire activity lying down.
