Program details
Shoalhaven Heart Failure Service runs a free 10-week education and exercise program for patients living with heart failure.
Specialist heart failure nurses and an exercise physiologist, as well as a team of multidisciplinary guest speakers, provide education around a range of topics to support your cardiac health including:
- Kidney health
- Nutrition
- Medications
- Exercise
- Heart health
- Stress management
- Mental health
The classes run for 2 hours. An hour of exercise and an hour of education each Tuesday and are free of charge.
An assessment with our nurses and the exercise physiologist will occur first and then an individualised program will be developed and increased over the course. You will also be given a home exercise program at conclusion to keep you exercising!
Opening hours:
Classes run on Tuesdays from 9-11am for 10 weeks.

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
Those with cognitive impairment.
Those unable to follow a exercise program.
Special requirements or conditions:
Please wear appropriate shoes.
