Program details

Strengthening for over 60s program is a fun and effective group program designed by St George Hospital Physiotherapist to help people build strength, maintain bone density, and stay independent for longer. 

The program is safe, supervised and instructed by experienced and qualified fitness professionals who will help tailor the program to meet your needs and goals with encouragement and support. 

The program is based on research and guidelines that give results.

Opening hours:

Mondays at 8.30am and 9.30am

Tuesdays at 8.30am, 9.30am and 10.30am

Cost:

Cost per term: $100

Target age:

55 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

Most people would be suitable as the program is designed to be adapted to people with different strength and progressed as they improve. However, all participants are required to complete a medical clearance prior to commencement, so some may be screened not to be suitable for the program, or come with referral notes.

Special requirements or conditions:

Wear supporting, closed toed shoes, ideally trainers

Fitness Leader - Registered Cert IV
