Program details
Free 12 week group exercise and education program to reduce risk of falling.
- Pre-program assessment with Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) plus home exercise program designed by AEP with free exercise bands
- Group education sessions with Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and AEP
- 12-week supervised group exercise program with AEP
- Post program assessment with AEP
Location: Mount Druitt, Blacktown, Doonside, Castle Hill, Parramatta and surrounding areas.
Eligibility: All patients aged 65 and over (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders aged 50 and over) living in their own home in the community.
Opening hours:
Day: Wednesdays
Class 1: 9.30am
Class 2: 11.30am
Assessments available at 9am and 11am, by appointment only.
*Assessments need to be completed before beginning the program.

65 Plus, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander over 50
Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
Those with dementia or cognitive impairment and are not able to complete the exercises by themselves are not suitable unless they have a carer or support person to help them get through the exercises.
Special requirements or conditions:
Wear comfortable clothes, good footware, bring towel, drink and any asthma/breathing/heart medication if needed.
