Program details
The Able and Stable falls prevention program runs for 9 weeks with 1 session per week. Sessions are 90 minutes long and include:
- 60 minutes of exercises targeting balance and strength training, with individually tailored home exercises, and
- 30 minutes of falls prevention education.
The aim is to improve balance, strength and confidence to get back into life.
The program is conducted by Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist and a GP referral is required.

9.30-11.00am on Thursdays, weekly for 9 weeks

65 Plus
Participants who would not be suitable for the program:
People who are incontinent, require supervision with mobility, have unstable cardiac conditions, have a history of neurological impairment (e.g., CVA or Parkison's disease), and/or non-English speaking clients without a carer present to translate.
Special requirements or conditions:
Participants should wear closed footwear and comfortable (i.e., loose fitting) clothing; bring own towel and bottle of water to drink.
