Program details

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines tennis, ping pong and badminton.

We currently have our Seniors program, Social Competition and a Competitive Competition.

It provides health benefits such as better balance and cognitive function.

Opening hours:

  • Senior Social - Mondays from 11am
  • Open Social - Mondays from 6.00pm
  • Open Competitive - Mondays from 6.00pm
We do 8 week rounds. Call us to see when our next round of Pickleball is being played!

Cost:

Adults - $70.00 (for 8 weeks)
Concession - $56.00 (for 8 weeks)

Target age:

50 Plus

Participants who would not be suitable for the program:

Pickleball is an inclusive and versatile sport but the following may be less suitable to play.
1. Severe Mobility Issues - people may find it difficult to move quickly and safely on the court.
2. Serious Joint Problems - People with severe arthritis or joint issues may feel some discomfort or aggravation.
3. Cardiovascular Concerns - Need to consult with their doctor first.
4. Balance Issues - Pickleball uses a lot of lateral movements and those people with balance issues may be at higher risk of falls or injuries.

Special requirements or conditions:

Wear suitable shoes such as joggers or runners.

Special directions:

Park in the car park at the front of the building and walk to the Recreation Centre Entrance.
