Pecker's Practice: Yoga in the Park
Join me for an inclusive and accessible yoga experience, perfect for all ages and abilities, especially beginners.
Yoga in the Park is a 45 minute class that offers a gentle blend of mindful movement, breathing techniques, and relaxation, designed to improve flexibility, strength, and mental wellbeing.
Whether you're new to yoga or experienced, each class is tailored to meet individual needs, with modifications provided for comfort and safety.
These sessions offer a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, rejuvenate the body, and calm the mind, all while being part of a supportive community. Please bring your own mat and drink bottle.

Meeting Point: The Rotunda is located near the central area of the park, easily identifiable by its circular structure. Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in.

Please note that Yoga in the Park will not be held on public holidays. Class availability may also be affected by extreme weather conditions. Any changes or cancellations will be communicated in advance.

Yoga in the Park is designed to be inclusive and accessible for all ages and abilities. However, participants with specific health conditions or limitations should consider consulting with a healthcare provider before attending. This includes:
- Recent surgery or injury
- Severe mobility impairments or reliance on walking aids
If you have any concerns about your participation, please don’t hesitate to reach out for guidance.
Special requirements or conditions:
- Bring your own mat: Participants should bring their own yoga mat to each session for comfort and hygiene.
- Comfortable clothing: Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows for ease of movement.
- Drink bottle: It’s recommended to bring a drink bottle to stay hydrated during the session.
- Weather considerations: As classes are held outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather (e.g., sunscreen, hat, layers for cooler weather).
- No shoes needed: Yoga is practiced barefoot, so please come ready to practice without shoes.
- Cash payment: The session fee is $5, payable in cash at the beginning of each class.

Light Rail: The Light Rail stop at Moore Park is also nearby, offering another easy option for reaching the park.

Public Transport: The Light Rail stop at Moore Park is the closest, and it’s just a short walk to the Rotunda. Alternatively, buses from Central Station stop nearby, with a 5-10 minute walk to the Rotunda.
Walking Directions: If you’re coming from the Jane Street bus stop, head east and walk about 500 meters towards the park to reach the Rotunda.
Parking: There is parking available in Moore Park; however, it can be busy during peak times. Street parking may also be available around John Street and surrounding areas.
