Program details
Led by exercise physiologists, Falls Prevention Classes, focus on reducing fall risk through evidence-based exercises.
Participants improve stability, coordination, and confidence in daily activities.
This class includes:
- Balance exercises such as single-leg stands, heel-to-toe walking, and standing on tiptoes
- Strength exercises targeting lower body muscles like squats, lunges, and leg lifts
- Core stability exercises like plank variations and abdominal crunches.
- Functional movements such as sit-to-stand, step-ups, and stair climbing.
- Coordination drills such as side steps, grapevines, and toe taps.
- Proprioception exercises to improve body awareness and spatial orientation.
Opening hours:
- Monday - Falls Prevention: 1:00PM
- Thursday - Falls Prevention: 10:15AM
- Friday - Stretching Class: 6:00PM
